Has anyone used the Do-More Simulator with the Red Lion Emulator? I'm trying to connect then together over Ethernet (built-in NIC on PC). Can't seem to get them to talk. Do-More settings IP address: 10.3.4.160 (uses NIC's address automatically) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 10.3.4.1 Module ID: 1 Crimson settings (for a G307K2) Network settings manual configuration IP 192.168.1.20 Mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway 10.3.4.1 Protocol 1 Modbus TCP/IP master - PLC1 Primary IP 10.3.4.160 Fallback 0.0.0.0 TCP port 502 Unit number 1 Device is enabled

I have not done it before.
You will need to get the RedLion's IP on the same subnet. Change the address to the same as your PC's address, except for the last octet.

Hmm still seem to be having issues. I have the IP of the HMI changed to 10.3.4.170. I wonder if using a virtual ethernet port might work. I'm somewhat inexperienced with network configurations.
Have you ever used Microsoft loopback adapter to create another ethernet port? It looks like I can map the Do-More to use that if needed.

Most of the time I find that Windows Firewall is the problem with this sort of thing. Try totally disabling your firewall temporarily to see if you can establish comms. Be sure to turn it back on when you can confirm that that is the issue... Then you can work on getting the proper ports opened up.
