I have a machine upgrade that I am going to do.It was suggested to use a Micro Logic 1400 but that means my version of RS Logic would need to be upgraded:( The machine consist of 20 solenoids valves now 120 volts but I plane on changing to 24 v dc and a couple of motor starters. No real intense logic just turn on and off the solenoid's along with the starters and talk to a Cmore panel. I was considering the Click or the Pac system ( I still consider myself a beginner at programing) I know enough of the Click to get the basics done but not sure if its the right choice. If I have to learn a new platform I would prefer to just move to the Pac even though the DoMore would more then likely be the best choice. Any suggestions? Thanks for any input.

I 've not used the P3K, but have been pretty deep in the DoMore. I would go with the DoMore. The price is right and the instructions are powerful and it is super fast.

I'm with plcnut, the DoMore is extremely powerful, inexpensive and very versatile. It's a good platform to invest time in.
Forget AB - most likely you'll just be bothering them if you ask for a quote.

I'd have to say the Do-More is about the best option here, It's got a huge range of features for a really good price. I 've replaced out several PLC's with the Do-More and yet to see any issues with them.
They might look more "over-kill " but trust me, its always better to have something that later on you might need, than have to redesign something because you don't have it.

The PAC is overkill for what you want to do. I 've installed a few of these now. They are very powerful and have a really nice instruction set. Also, the communication capabilities (which is why I used them) are fantastic.
I haven't used a Click yet. We had kind of standardized to the DL-06 for small jobs before the Click came out. That said, I have looked at it a couple of times and considered using it. I think it would work fine for what you are wanting to do. Just be sure up front that you can live with its limits if you ever plan to expand this system.
Look at it like this, you can buy the entire Click PLC for what AB will charge you to update your RS Logix.

Well I just ordered the click system.I guess I was too scared to try to learn the Do-More system. It is pretty basic actions being performed on/off with timers and the fact that I don't think I have much life left in the current electronics.(old diode boards).Meaning not much time to get it done.
I do have other projects that need motion control that are farther down the road which should give me time to learn the Do-More software.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Put low current outputs, like indicator lights, on the base unit. Place all solenoid and starter outputs on add-on cards. Use external relay isolation for the starters. Make sure the solenoids have diode protection.
For a one-off application I think you have the correct choice. If you need a display a CMore Micro should be fine.

Yeah it probably is the best choice for me at this time.
This is some of the products purchased for the project. After reading up on 24 vdc coils I decided to use some relay modules .The solenoid vales are supposed to have built in surge protection so the relay modules may be overkill (but bigger is better right).I also plan on having separate 24 vdc power supplies for the valves and the plc if i read the manual right on the relay mod that should be doable?I picked the 8” Cmore because I need to have the operators see the panel objects with ease. And the Ethernet to collect information on production speeds etc.

3-CO-16ND3 INPUT CARDS
3-CO-16TD2 OUTPUT CARDS
2-ZL-RRL 16-24-2 RELAY MODULES

Thanks for the help
