Hello, I'm very excited about the new Productivity 1000 series! My question is, will the P000 replace the Click? The P1000 has more features than the Click and it's in the same price range.

P1000 will not replace CLICK.

What Szarman said. There are no plans that I am aware of to replace other ADC brands at this point with any of the new PLC's.

I totally agree P1000 will not replace Click, they each have their strengths.
One big point is that with Productivity Suite you can take a project and change it from P1000 to P2000 or P3000 for complete scalability.
That does not exist for Click or most (all?) of the other PLCs on the market.

Ok, understood, but in my opinion there's a kind of overlapping here. Why would I use a Click if I can use a Productivity1000 instead?

Ok, you just gave me one more reason for not using ( "replacing ") a Click...
Which important strength does Click have that P1000 doesn't? Aside from onboard I/Os.

P1000 is a complement to our already strong PLC line up and not intended to replace any of the existing. We have many controller options that are similar in size and/or price, but have very different programming environments. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality options and let you choose the product that best fits your application and your style.

Click can be had for a better price. For some, that is all that is important, so P1000 wouldn't make any sense to them.

Price is #1. For very simple applications you cannot beat the price. I would also say that it’s probably the simplest PLC in our industry to learn. The fact that it doesn’t have a lot of extra features can be an advantage for many users … maybe not you, but definitely for some.
