P2K to CompactLogix with Ethernet/IP

Hello all, I would greatly appreciate some advice. I would like to use a P2K to read a couple dozen tag values from a CompactLogix controller (L36ERM) via Ethernet/IP. I'm new to EIP and don't know how to set it up on either controller. Does anyone have any examples or know of any they could share? I 've seen the Automation Direct videos and literature for setting it up with the Productivity software, but I'm not sure about how to do it on the AB side and making the two communicate. Thanks

You would need to set the P2K up as the adapter. If you search with google for "How to set up Ethernet\ip scanner for AB Compactlogix " you will find several examples of how to set up the AB as the scanner. Then use the information( Connection POint, Instance, Attribute, and message size from our dialog on the AB side.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I was searching how to set up the AB as an adapter and planned on using the P2K as the scanner.

See Help Topic P188 #5 under Communication section. AB as the Adapter is not supported for Compact Logix.
