One of our facilities has the entire local network pcs, cameras, controls, etc) starting with 10.20. Any suggestions on how to connect a Productivity 2000 to this network and be able to do some ethernet/IP explicit messaging to other controllers on the same 10.20.26. subnet? P2K uses 10.20 for its local ethernet, but hours of searching manuals and I found no mention of this. I sure hope I didn't just spend weeks programming and testing a PLC offsite to find it is simply unusable once installed.

I'd call technical support on this one, ASAP.

You may also be able to install some sort of NAT capable router to allow you to leave the P2000 as is and have the existing LAN "think " it is on the 10.20 network.

Can you put in a managed switch and set up a VLAN if there isn't one already?

Either of the above suggestions sound like they would get the PLC online however I don't think explicit messaging or any communication to other devices on the 10.20 network will work with either suggestion. I just don't understand why you would reserve 65,000 ish IP addresses for only 24 remote i/o's (16 GS Series Drives and 8 Remote Base Groups) and not BOLDLY DOCUMENT IT multiple locations in the manual.
