Please consider allowing the use of a USB number pad connected to a C-more EA9, to allow numeric data entry. I'd like to be able to use a number pad an USB mouse for point and click data entry for recipes. The number pad would save wear and tear on the touchscreen and would probably be faster for the operator. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Numeric-Jelly...gateway &sr=8-3 I'd be OK with using a USB hub to connect both a number pad and a mouse, as the screen only has one USB port. I spoke with Jim in AD tech support this afternoon, and he confirmed that the mouse does work, but a number pad / keyboard doesn't when connected to the touchscreen. I'm using V.6.42. Thanks, Ryan Poethke Correction: I spoke with Jeff.

Thanks for the post. As long as the keypad is HID compliant, it should work. However, I have forwarded your post to the Product Engineer/Manager so they can take a closer look.

Interesting. Perhaps the keyboard that Jeff tried while I was on the phone with him was somehow special. Should a num-pad AND a mouse work at the same time through a USB hub, or is that too much to hope for? I'd love to do alarm logging by plugging a USB thumb drive into that hub too; would/should that work?

For the $20 it will cost me on Amazon, I might just order a cheap num-pad, mouse, and USB hub to test.

    Thanks,

The Product Engineer spoke with the tech support rep to get a better understanding of what you were looking for and it looks as though we can't do what you were hoping for exactly. However, the PE did give the rep a work around and he is supposed to reach out to you regarding it. Thanks again.
