I'm using a number of EA1-S3ML panels to display process information from a PC running a simple modbus tcp server. This works fine. Because the display is dependent on my data collection software running, which has the Modbus TCP server built in, the connection is lost when my application is quit. Not a problem, but I would like the panels to fall back to a specific screen when the connection is lost, instead of just the small print, blinking P001 PLC Com Time Out message, which is easy to miss. The panel will keep displaying the last received value which may be several minutes old and may mislead the operator. Ideally I would like to set the backlight color to red or have some big blinking text. Any suggestions?
