Hello, I am hoping someone here is able to help me with a problem I seem to be experiencing across multiple Micro850 Units. The Micro850 has a 2080-SERIALISOL fitted which is used to receive data from an attached scale. The program initially works fine without any issues, however on the very rare occasion the Micro850 seems to lose comms with the scale. The only way to resolve it is to re-program the unit, this kicks it straight back into life. Is there a known problem with the 2080-SERIALISOL's that anyone is aware of? Or does anyone have any ideas as to where I should look to resolve or at least debug the issue. Most of these units are fitted to systems across the world and require me to control the computers remotely to re-program the PLC. This can sometimes be quite difficult as the PLC unit isnt very easy to access if your not sure where to look, and without switching the mode to PROG I am unable to re-program the PLC. Any thoughts or ideas would be great! Many thanks, Liam

Wouldn't it be nice if Allen-Bradley had a completely free website, like this Automation Direct forum, where you could ask this kind of question without a Tech-Connect (extortion) contract?
Since this forum is devoted to Automation Direct products, you 're better off asking your question to a non-vendor specific platform like PLCs.net.
