C-More remote HMI App for IOS: I just got a notice on my iPhone that this app wont be supported in its current version with the next IOS release. Has anyone else had this happen and is there an update in the works? This app plays a central part in a solution we provide to our customers and if it doesn't work when they update their iPhone it will be a problem for us.

The developer is working on updating the Remote HMI app to be compatible with future 64 bit iOS versions.

Apple has changed the wording of their warning to note that 32-bit apps "will not work with future versions of iOS, " suggesting that iOS 11 could be the first software update to support 64-bit apps only. Apple has not given a fixed deadline at this time.

The Remote HMI App does support 32 bit and 64 bit, but has not been converted to 64 bit only. So though the warning is concerning, there should not be an issue with the app running.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll pass it on to our clients.

It’s no longer supported in IOS11. Are the developers close to releasing an update?

Maybe it's just me being an old fogy, but is no one else concerned that a phone app for an industrial machine control or monitoring can be rendered useless by an update or lock you into an old phone or whatever? I like my stuff to go beyond the next year or two. The smartphone makers have no interest in trying to maintain compatibility with limited use third party applications.
