I wanted to see if any of you guys have encountered an issue with forwarding an email through gmail to an AT &T text. 6months to a year ago, I set up a Cmore to email to a gmail account. Once in the account, I would filter it to forward as a text to several employees. All AT &T. It worked flawlessly until approx. 2 weeks ago. Since then, the gmail account still receives the email just fine, but it says no-reply@mms.att.net . I can directly email the phone via text just fine from the same address. The issue is the forward. I 've even bounced it through several addresses(various email carriers as well) and it all works fine as long as it wasn't forwarded from the Cmore. Ironically, I have no issues with Verizon phones. They will accept the forwarded email/text just fine. A little background: My Email Client in the Cmore is: Sender: *******@gmail.com smtp server: aspmx.l.google.com Port: 25 No SSL No Auth. This worked flawlessly until it didn't. LOL Today I wanted to try and change the client and see if that helped. I changed it to: Sender: ********@gmail.com smtp server: smtp.gmail.com Port: 465 SSL checked Authorization checked Account: ********@gmail.com Passwork: ********* I tried it, and at first it didn't work. I check my email and google informed me that someone tried to sign-in and they blocked it. I had to allow access to less secure apps. No problem as this email address is only used for this cmore. Once I did that, it receive the emails from the cmore just fine. I installed the filter to send the text hoping the authentication would remedy the issue. It didn't. I still receive the emails just fine but they will not forward as texts to the AT &T phones. I realize this isn't an Automation Direct equipment problem, but since it's with a Cmore I was hoping maybe one of you guys encountered this and have some ideas for work arounds.

I have a feeling that I am not sending exactly as you are sending but... I am successfully getting text messages on my phone (AT&T is my service). I have my gmail setup exactly as yours (with different credentials of course). But here is where I may be deviating from your setup. My target email address programmed into my C-more panel is a text message address (xxxxxxxxxx@mms.att.net). I am assuming from the text of your post that you are actually targeting a @gmail.com address and doing some kind of forwarding in your gmail setup?

Thanks for the reply, Jackson.
I have multiple targets, but up until this point they were all email addresses. In the email, I filtered and forwarded to texts.
I tested setting up my phone as the target. (phonenumber)@mms.att.net
It got rejected again with the no-reply@mms.att.net
It did however leave an email in my Email Client Inbox, so I know it is at least successful to gmail.
I tried my wife's phone as well. Same.
I'm using the emails to send alarms, and a test twice a day. It doesn't alarm much. Maybe once a week. The tests would go to 4 different email addresses twice a day. In each email address, it would forward to a text. I wonder if AT&T has somehow flagged this as spam? I 've tried to call them twice, but I can't seem to get any technical help at all.
I thought they may have flagged my email address, but I can send directly from that very email address to the text.
Side note: To make sure I hadn't changed a setting or something silly like that, I emailed to text another employee with verizon. Went right through. It's an AT&T issue. I thought the authentication would resolve it and it hasn't. I'm not sure how smtp emails are packaged, but there's something different when the cmore sends it vs. the actual gmail account.

Check out post number 6 in this thread. Maybe it will be useful

How did I miss that???
Thanks dd33.
That is definitely the problem. Unfortunately for me, if I have anything in the subject or body, it will reject it.
I can send the text, just have to leave everything blank. I'm going to have to think of a better solution. I really don't want to lose the text feature.
