Panel: EA9-T15CL Software: Cmore Ver6.13 Hello, I keep seeing an error code on top of the HMI screen. It says "PLC498; Error code 0x040000 returned from PLC on service ". I don't want these error codes to appear on my screen, whether or not the error is fixed. Where is the option to make these error codes disappear? Thanks.

Fix the error. Seriously it's the only way to make it go away.

I believe that is the same code I have when a tag is in the C-more that is not in the PLC.

I know fixing the error will make it go away, but is there any other way to make it go away? I have over 1000 tags, so deleting each one not being used will take some time. Has anyone figured out another good way to get rid of these error codes that pop up? Thanks.

    Open your Tag Name Database.

Click the "Used " header on the right hand side to sort based on whether or not the tag is used.

Click the first item in the list (to select it).

Scroll down to the last item in the list that is not used.

Hold down the SHIFT key and click on the last unused row (This will select everything between the first row you selected, and the last row you selected).

    Click the Delete button.

Your un-used tags that were causing errors are now gone. ;)

I 've already done that also to delete everything faster, but the error still comes on the screen. I 've already redownloaded the program back into the HMI also. I 've triple checked to make sure the tags in the database are also in the PLC. There are these tags that belong to the "internal " category that I cannot delete however, so those may be causing the problem. How can I delete the "internal " tags?

The 'internal tags ' are part of the display. You can't delete those.

Does the error occur on every display or just certain ones?

It occured on every display, but now it's gone; there was one more tag used in the HMI, but not in the PLC program. Thanks.

Press and hold the upper left corner of the display. Go to the system screen and look at the error list. It will tell you which tags are causing the problem.

Yes, looking at the errors on the HMI is the fastest way to solve it. I was hoping there could be like a .dll file wherever the Cmore is installed that I could have deleted just to make the error go away. But for now, the quickest way to solve the problem is to go through the errors on the HMI system screen and delete those tags.
