I have the client properly configured according to how all of the accounts at my company are set up. I have the correct recipient in the address book. The configuration settings are "SMTP Server Requires Authentication ", and I 've tried both POP3 before SMTP and just SMTP Authentication options, (though I know that POP before SMTP is right), ports are SMTP 25 ,POP3 110, which works elsewhere. I have checked and rechecked the account and password. This HMI is on a static IP inside the LAN. When I trigger a send I get RTE-041 Email Connection Error. Any insights?

Do you have SSL selected? Are you sure this is correct? Our ISP doesn't require SSL on either send or receive, but I tried both, one or the other and neither.

Many times the server examines the name AND the ip contained in the header. So you will need the dns server address in your Cmore. 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 are two of Google's dns servers. That should get you going.

Oh, I think I'm starting to get it. So our mail server wants to see if the email itself is authentic, so it looks for a DNS, and a mail server name in the message header, but they don't necessarily have to match?
