Screen Quality EA9 vs EA7

Anyone else notice that the new EA9 screens are not as crisp as the old EA7? Things are a bit fuzzier and darker when running the "same " program. 8 " model

If you did not convert the EA7 to use the new resolution of the EA9, it will be a bit blurry due to the interpolation of the pixel difference. EA9 screens have a much better screen resolution than EA7 did. Using native EA9 resolutions is the only way to get super crisp detail in an EA7 project.

The "EA7 to EA9 Project Conversion " dialog box does not give that option. Please consider adding it so that it isn't necessary to go into the panel manager.

Doesn't seem to me that going to panel manager is such a big deal, after all, while setting the "project resolution " to SVGA does avoid the interpolation and returns things to the original sharpness, your original screens will only be using 64% of the physical screen. The amount of work needed to rearrange things to take advantage of the increased resolution makes the 5 mouse clicks to change the resolution pretty trivial (and if there were a check box on load, that would be one click, so the net is only 4 to set resolution in panel manager)
While it would be nice if the software could automatically resize at the native resolution, considering the possibility of overlapping objects, static bitmaps, border style, font size, etc. that would be asking a lot. Plus one may want to use the extra space to display more information/controls, so "simply " scaling may not be all that useful anyway, compared to how difficult of program it would be..

You are correct, the EA9 screens when converting from EA7 can appear less sharp or fuzzy.
It was an attempt to make the conversion as seamless as possible for EA7 users by running the SVGA screens on the 8 and 10 inch models in VGA mode.
You can take advantage of the addition resolution in the 8 and 10 inch panels by going to the panel manager and changing it there. It will give you a choice of adjusting the objects or keeping them the same. Fonts will not scale.
In either case you will need to edit the screens to get them to look the same, but they will look much sharper.
