Hi All, I am having some comm issues trying to connect a C-More Micro Panel EA1-S6MLW to an Allen Bradley Micrologix 1500 LRP Seris C Controller. My question is do I need to use the channel 0 port or can I use the channel 1 port that is on the side of the PLC. I have been trying to get it to work on channel 1 to no avail. Right now it is communicating with an Allen Bradley Panelview 1000 using channel 1 but when I put db-9 to db-15 adapter on and plug into C-More I get no communication. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and what was done to overcome. Thanks in advance for your help.

In general, you can connect an HMI to port 1 on the side. It's RS232 male and has the same pinout as a serial port on a PC. One thing to watch for, in addition to verifying the normal stuff like cable pinout, port configuration and so on, is that many AB RS232 ports, including one or both on a ML1500, can be configured to talk DH485 protocol on the RS232 wire, which of course the PanelViews understand. Have no idea if C-More's support that, but if not, make sure in RSLogix that the port is set to DF1 mode and not DH485.
