 I have an AB 1400 connected to a C-More 10 " screen via ethernet and I want to create a screen that would collect some data every day at 10am. I want to display date and time when it was collected and I want it to stay there so I can view it later. If I use a triggered or lookup message, then the date and time continue to update if I leave the visibility bit on. If I use an event, it logs to the alarm file along with other stuff I don't want to see. Isn't there a way to create a screen to do this? I know I could write some logic in the SLC, but I wanted to use the sys date and time. Thanks, John:)

first, where do you want this data stored, locally (PLC) or on a network somewhere?
You can use Event Manager for so much more than logging alarms...select Add Action for the event, then look at the drop down menu. You can use screen cap, FTP, or mail.
If you intend to send this data somewhere, my choice would be via FTP or mail...

Thanks, Scott. I just want it on the one particular screen. Then it would just update everyday.
