I'm an avid AD fan and user. But I 've been forced to use an AB-Micro850 PLC. It was released a few months ago with Ethernet and messaging capability. Here is my question: In setting up the CMore through the panel manager, what PLC Protocol shall I try and use? The 850 uses 'symbolic Addressing ' (no numbers, just descriptions and data types). I was thinking of using the AB Ethernet/IP Client Tag-Based (Control/CompactLogix) protocol. But, I see there are other parameters to set/adjust along with that selection (ie.. Port, CPU Slot Number)--wondering what to try for those. I'm only using the Cmore on this project to watch various variables in the program while testing here in the office. Incidentally, the CCW software used for these Micro850 PLCs (and other components) is nice in concept, but they have a loooonnnnngggggg way to go to get it right. Lots of bugs and not user friendly and all.

The protocol is not a standard AB protocol. About the only choice with that processor is MODBUS.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution or work around to connect a CMORE with a AB Micro850 in the past 2 years😁 ?
C-more has a driver for AB 800 series plc's. You should be able to your tags. Take a look at help topic CM349 https://www.automationdirect.com/microsites/c-more/software-help/Content/349.htm
