Our latest project has the newest version of C-More v2.78. It is linked to a DL205 (CPU is a 260) with a slave that is also a DL205 base. These are linked to a Red Lion CPU unit that has 10 of their modules on a rack. This is an extruder set up. We have several machines set up like this BUT this is the only one that the C-More screen is extremely slow to update, ( five seconds or longer). The only thing that is different than all of the other machines is the fact that the version is 2.78 for the C-more AND we are running a slave. And we use the #2 port on the 260 to talk to a Clinton sparker that has to communicate via the RS 232 serial link. Everything else is communicating via Ethernet. Any ideas? We have searched for the cause for hours.

Found the problem...finally
Data logging to the chart screen was causing the slow down. Which basically means we can't run charts 24/7 to track issues...but what the heck.

C-More issues
We use Ethernet for the C-More and 205 PLC rack and other units.

Sounds more like an overhead problem in the PLC.
Are you using any loops in the plc program?
Have you checked the plc scan times?
