I am trying to import a tag data base from a Contrologix system into a C-more 6 inch panel. I only need one tag for this portion of the project, that being a tank level tag from this controller. I have been working on this all day and have no luck. I have saved my project as an L5K import/export file and have got the import to start. However it keeps getting an error saying the 30000 tag limit is exceeded. There are not 30000 tags in the program. Right now, I can "see " the panel in my network, but have been unable to establish communications. Can I copy just one tag to the HMI tag name database with Contrologix or does the entire L5K file need to be loaded in the panel. I am using the Ethernet/IP Client TagBased protocol for the Contrologix There are 6 other C-mores on this network and they are working fine.

The C-more import expands structures and arrays into individual elements. That's probably why you are hitting the limit. During import you could use the "Import Array Element Count Limit " and set it to 1, which would help.

In case you didn't know, the L5K Import isn't required to be used ... you can always just create tags manually in the Tag Name Database.
