all programs, when opened with the new software, will ask you if you want to upgrade them to the newer version of the software... if you do this, you will need to update the firmware of the respective HMI before you can download the new file.

other than that, I haven't had serious issues from one version to the next. But since you 're going from 3.5 years back, I'd guess the firmware upgrades might cause issues with the older HMIs...

The firmware upgrade should just work. At the worst, you might have to retry it several times.

C-More, on installation, gives you the option of making a separate install and not touch the earlier revision.

    Bcarlton.

I didn't understand exactly what you mean by separate install, sorry...basically i want to have on the same laptop software for both - newer and older C-Mores....so for old ones i use the old soft, for the new ones - new soft.

    Thanks.

What bcarlton is referring to is that when upgrading, you can keep your old version and create a new version. You can also save all your programs in your old version and create a copy in the newer version. I have 4 different versions of C-more on my laptop and use them all. Eventually, I'll get around to bringing all my programs up to the latest version. I change them as I have need to.
