I have a 32mb CF card in my c more, how do I keep chart data retentive? For instance when I upload a new program to the c more it looses all data in my charts. Thank You

Did you check "Save Log Data " on the Options tab for the Line Graph?

I have that checked, going to CF1 and its still not keeping the data in the graph after a program download.

Probably best to get in touch with tech support and ask about it.

    @ ADC App Assist:

From what I remember from using this feature on a data logging app on few sintering furnaces, chart data is stored in internal memory on the screen. Upon a program update/upload, the running chart data is lost.

The data you have saved to your CF card will not be lost, but this is not where the data for the Line Trend Graph object comes from to form the chart.

Or, did this all change with a firmware upgrade, and I haven't had to update and haven't noticed it?

That sounds correct Bob. Just like a PLC, a program upload overwrites certain areas.

Still it's good if @trimixdiver1 gets in touch with Tech Support so they can log it if it is an issue for him into our database for consideration for future changes.

I'll go ahead and suggest it be added to the improvement database.

I had a different project trying to push parts onto a scale, get stability and a weight reading, and then push it off, all trying to keep up with a 6 second per part press rate.

The CMORE was already keeping track of weight data, and I went into the CMORE and set up some more charts to keep track of several different timers to get a better handle of what was going in the different portions of the operations for troubleshooting. Every time I made a change to the CMORE, I lost the data in the weight chart as well. It was a little frustrating, but not a huge deal in that application.

If you are not Logging Trend Data to the CF card, Saved Samples in Trend Data is lost on a power cycle as it is kept in RAM memory.

If you are Logging Trend Data to a CF, then the Saved Samples in the Trend are saved to the CF and will be read back to the panel RAM upon a power cycle.

A project download will clear the Saved Samples in both cases.
