Can I run the cmore micro off the rs232 on a H2-EBC? Or off my rs485 network? Thank You

The serial port on the EBC is not supported except for when the EBC is being used by a Think & Do network.
If the Micro is put on an RS-485 network it must be the only master device on the network. IE nothing else is allowed to be reading or writing information to other RS-485 devices except for the Micro.

Seems like the only real way to get this integrated into my system is to do a rs232 to ethernet modbus. Am I making a good decision here?

Most Ethernet to serial convertors need a driver. I don't know of anyone that has gotten it to work so far.
Edit: Your best bet is to get a couple of FA-ISOCON modules and set up a RS-485 network off of one of your free RS-232 ports.

How about a serio module? On its own 232?

If you are using a DoMore, sure.

Crap, looks like a serio can't be in a remote ebc rack.

Correct. The only intelligent module allowed in an EBC rack is the H2-CTRIO module.

I have a spare DL240 and a 3 slot rack. I have both a ecom and a ecom100. Can I use the 240 to make the cmore micro a modbus device? Or can I do some other type of communication with the plain ecom?
Thanks

You could potentially push and pull values to the 240 through an ECOM card while connecting to the Micro via serial, but this can get pretty tricky to make sure that the values are current.
I am not sure that I would recommend it as a solution.
A regular Cmore with Ethernet would be the best solution.
