This error happens to me quite frequently after I create a new tag in my program and proceed to map out what type of tag it is, and tell it what that plc address for it is. once I hit ok I get this error and have to cancel out of the properties screen. So the error goes as follows 1. go to properties on object 2. change objects TAG 3. Must tell CMORE what plc what type of memory type (i 've noticed it only happens with BOOL memory types) 4. put in the same name for its address ( we make the plc tag the hmi tag) 5. i then click apply and the error pops up I have to then cancel the properties screen and come back and paste the tag in again but for some reason it kept the Tag Name - Edit (information & PLC address information) This even happens randomly but when it does it keeps happening consistently and sometimes the Program gets a fatal error after receiving this error multiple times and has to close. Or it corrupts the whole program all together.. So, I hope somehow this can get resolved. I happened to see this problem was still here back in 2002 when i searched the forums for some sort of way to fix it. http://i46.tinypic.com/2hchxci.jpg

What PLC Driver are you using?
Is this only happening on a single PC, or do you see this issue on any other PC?
Just FYI, C-more Launched in 2005, so I am wondering what device from 2002 had this error?
One thing to try is to reinstall the C-more Software.

this is the 2nd laptop i 've been on which is the vostro series
i'm using VM 8 with windows xp. my main os is 32bit win7
as far as plc drivers. this is all pre programming before i even send it to the panel. all these errors are during the design phase.
So i dont get how the rslinx drivers would effect the design phase of CMORE.
i'm using 2.73 version of cmore.
yes i 've uninstalled and re installed the cmore already.

Did the first one have this problem?

The VM could be the issue. Have you tried just running under Windows 7?
as far as plc drivers. this is all pre programming before i even send it to the panel. all these errors are during the design phase.
The PLC Driver chosen effects the data types you can select for the Tags. It affects many of the development processes. It is important information.
So i dont get how the rslinx drivers would effect the design phase of CMORE.
I assume you are using an Allen Bradley PLC since you mention RSLinx. When PLC and Which Driver?
