Hello Everyone, I'm looking for some help on setting up a test unit to monitor oil field wellhead pressures, fluid flow, temperatures, etc. I would like the ability to: -Store data (Approx 16GB) -Download data via USB -Have up to 20 I/O's (Analog, Digital, etc) -Remotely call up this system via a cell modem -Remotely access the data via the internet. -Have the unit call out (voice, email, text msg) when values exceed set limits. -Have unit call out at predetermined times to export data to remote computer. -Remotely control outputs (Close valve, slow motor speed, open louvers, etc.) -Preform outputs when values reach set points. -Have a C-More screen I know this is a lot to ask on this forum but I'm not sure who else to go to. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm fairly computer savvy but I'm somewhat new to the automation world. Thanks. Darren Huestis darren.huestis@peakpvf.com (406) 945-1861 Havre, MT

While I can't help with the remote networking details (although I believe it can be done), the Cmore in your system can help you out a lot.

The Cmore connected to you PLC that has the appropriate analog and digital inputs and outputs can do your data logging and alarm logging. I believe you can set up "EVENTS " in the Cmore to message out alarms, and to do an FTP of the logging and alarm files at specified times.

The CMORE also has a "Remote Access " feature that can let you connect remotely and control the screens, which could be designed and programmed to activate or control outputs of you PLC for valve and motor control.

Search here for posts about "VPN " or "Cell Modem " to get better info on the remote networking side of things.
