I am sure there are others out there who would like to see an Android app made available for remote access to C-More panels. I appreciate that there is an app for i-phone/i-pad already but our entire facility (as have many others that I am aware of) has elected to go android for tablets and smart phones. Hopefully if enough of us throw our support behind it, the project can move up the priority list! If you are one of the many who would like to see an Android version, add a reply! To AD, is there any way we can get access to an SDK in hopes of developing our own app if one doesn't come out of AD?

Please let us know the model number, OS and screen size on the android products you use. Since Android is open source each manufacturer typically modifies it in some manner.

I agree that we need the app for the android. For my customers it's like Ford vs Chevy or John Deere vs IH, they ether have apple or hate apple and there are a lot that don't have apple. I know it is hard to make an app for the android because of the tweaks the companies do the the phones and tablets but "if it were easy anybody could do it " as I am told all of the time. I know it would boost my sells of your products. If the customer wants the access with a non apple product I have to use another manufacturers product. There is one other saying I like "nothing is impossible unless you have to do it yourself " this is a quote from a German tool and die maker that used to work for me.

What product do you use if your customer requires remote access with an android device?
What android devices and OS do you most commonly have requests for?

Our Management uses Samsung Galaxy Tabs, our maintenance dept uses viewsonic G-Tablets and we are looking into other models for supervisors and support folks. Most of the tablets (except the Samsungs) are running Cyanogen Mod which seems to get along with virtually all Android software (even phone apps that don't translate well to tablets). At this point, we would be willing to flash to almost any ROM that would support a release of the remote access app.
A little background to explain the scope of our upcoming projects: We are a regional Theme Park covering some 240 acres. We are in the process of adding PLC based control and/or monitoring to all or our rides, lighting, games, water system, waste water system, heating systems, etc. The ultimate goal is to have ALL of this accessible to our technicians and management via tablets and PCs. The PC functionallity is what sold the concept and the standardization on C-More/DL PLCs but remote access via the tablets is what ultimately will drive this forward.

Maple systems has a built in vnc server that will work with an app on an android phone or tablet. I prefer using the C-More but the customer pays the bills.

I would like the same thing. I have several devices I would like it to work with.
Samsung Charge - V2.3.6 - 4.3 " screen
HTC Thunderbolt - V2.2.3 - 4.3 " screen

Android remote app
Our entire plant is using the T mobile My Touch and will most likely upgrade to the HTC one S. The latter running on the IceCream Sandwich OS. An android app would be much appreciated. The apps that are currently available across most platforms makes me think that it should be fairly straight forward and easier for AD to do it than to release a SDK. Please invest in the android development.
