It has been brought up several times, but I did not see a clear answer to the question and that is: When will the NAME column be editable? Presently I put labels like, "Setup 1 " or "Item 1 ". Then in the next column put the useful info. There is already a column with numbers to the side and I would like to make the NAME column more useful by putting in my product part number and being able to add or edit that column like I can with the rest of the columns that follow. It seems to be a ASCII column, is that what is causing the issue of being able to edit?

Keep in mind I haven't used the recipe sheets, I 've only used the recipe button for tag transfer of lots of tags to and from storage vmem areas.
In the recipe sheets, could you label the name as "job 1, Job 2 " etc.
Then in the first editable line, use it just for part number storage.
Just a thought,

That is what I do now. Since there is a column already with 1,2,3 etc just seems a waste to say Job 1, Job 2 etc. Maybe do away with the first column showing the 1,2 3,etc. Just wondering why that column can not be made to edit.

Not as easy as it sounds
I know it sounds easy. We agree that it should be that way. It is on our list of improvements and will be eventually implemented; just not sure when.
