I was told that you can enter a tag in for the min and max range on a numeric entry control. I tried and can only enter in numbers. Has any one done this? How do you do it? I want to dynamicaly control the min and max ranges.

I saw DNJ's reply in your other thread...

the min and max settings are static and can be assigned a tag (dynamic).

I'm not sure what was meant. The min/max is static right now. Maybe they'll change it later.

If the dynamic ranges are just a few, can you use the visibility option thru the PLC program to limit the operator choices?

    numeric entry

I already have the value entered limited in the plc. I load about 21 values in a recipe from the network and calculate the limits on each. I use 1 keypad for all values and the interaction between the keypad and the plc is a little complex. I just thought this would make it a little simple or easier. Any way my question has been answered. Thanks
