I 've used C-More for years and was very happy with it...until it stopped working two months ago. When I try to start it now I get: Error GUI-121: Windows has returned an exception error Windows Exception Code#: 0x80040154 Message: Class Not Registered C-more Process Name: Create Database I contacted technical support and sent screen shots with the error. I was told there is something wrong with my Windows (and I have no doubt it is true) and to check MDAC versions to make sure I have the latest one. Did that and confirmed I have MDAC 2.8 SP1. The next advice from tech support was to re-install Windows which is absolutely out of question. I cannot do that every time I buy a new software. After that there was total silence from tech support. The problem is not resolved, I have lots of C-More panels installed at customers and I have no way of doing updates (unless I buy a new laptop and use it for C-More only). I am running WinXp SP3 and I tried C-More 2.60, 2.71, 2.72 and C-More Micro 3.01 all with the same error. Somebody, please, please help. Thank you

You 're running WinXP and you don't have to periodically reformat

In all seriousness I 've been using C-Mores from the start and this is new to me as well. I'd venture to say we 've shipped thousands of C-Mores on machines over the years and I 've literally been updating my C-More programming software since before v1.0 without ever seeing this.

It may be time to bite the bullet and clean up your Windows via a clean install.

Sorry to say I have to agree with marksji. I had similar GUI messages both with C-More and the Micro software. I had to do a windows reload. Running XP SP3. I am now in the process of installing Win 7.

You might try repairing the Microsoft Data Access Components. Here is a website with instructions .

Thanks rlp122. The link you posted took me to MDAC repair tool from Macropool and that did the job. Thanks everybody.
