We have a c-more panel controlled autoclave and a requirement to capture data. The autoclave is installed in an area where thumb drives are prohibited. We attach external storage to devices by locking the device in a cabinet and running usb cables to the devices. Generally, the usb device is attached to the machine tool and a networked pc via a belkin usb switch so that the data can be removed from the area. Believe it or not, we have had no problems doing this. Until now. What kind of devices can the c-more panels support? Are there limitations on file system (fat32 vs ntfs vs something else)? Are there limitations on size or manufacturer? What is the largest device that can be attached to the c-more panel's usb connection? Is there a way to directly access/configure ports within the c-more panel?

It has been very hit and miss for my company. People here have purchased 4 of the same thumb drive at the same store and 2 may work. It seems to be that the smaller and cheaper of a drive, the better chance it has of working.

I have used 2 GB kingston (I think) thumb drive on two different HMIs with no problem so far.
As far as remotely retrieving data, could you just use the FTP function on the panel? Or email works too. I actually have one of my panels email me 3 trends and the alarm log every morning at 12:00am. This way I get the previous day's data.

i used 2gb duracell drives got from walgreens. have 12 in service now and no problems.:D
