I am trying to set remote web access to a C-More Touch via iPhone. I realize the "exe " is incompatible with iPhone OS. Has anyone succeeded in acheiving this with special APs? If not with iPhone, how about with Mobile Pocket PC or else with BlackBerry?

The only way I have been able to do this is to have a PC running the C-more remote access and using a remote desktop app on the phone to run the PC. I have not tried with a pocket pc, but I think the C-More is using CE OS so it may work? Let us know if you get anything working I have customers that would like to use their phones to monitor the C-More.

I would love to see this happen. As jwbaker3 mentioned, I'm currently running LogMeIn on Android for my CMore remote access.

I 've looked at this as well from the standpoint of coming at the C-More from a Mac. I think the exe is actually a variant of VNC, but I'm buffaloed on how to make a "normal " VNC client work with the C-More.

C-more Mobile Remote Access
The C-more remote Windows client is a good start, very handy and does the job... so long as you 're sitting at a Windows PC. But there are many other devices we would like to use for remote access.
What we really need is for the C-more to be able to act as a VNC server. Then, it can be accessed by virtually any platform: Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, etc. All these platforms already have VNC clients, so no additional client-side work is needed to make the C-more viewable from any system. We just need the C-more to support an open standard.
To Automationdirect: Please, please add VNC server functionality to a future release of the C-More firmware! My customers really want to be able to access their systems directly using smartphones, and this would be a great general-purpose solution. If the C-more is already running a VNC protocol, please publish the data we need to configure a VNC client to work with it.
Sincerely,
Kevin Edwards

Maple Systems has a VNC remote access feature:

I really like the C-More product, and I don't want to switch to a competing HMI. Please, make it an easy choice to stay with your product, and add this feature.

Any Update on this Request??
Hi c-more gods,
The request for a iPad/iPod version or VNC capability on the HMI's is really important for cross platform compatibility.
Having used these devices for over a year now, I can relate first hand for this need.
Please don't forget us.
Thanks.

Don't forget Android
While I hear that an iphone app is in the works, this leaves out a large and growing number of mobile users (myself and most of my customers included). Android phones now account for over 50% of us smartphone sales, and their share is growing quickly:

When will we be able to directly control a cmore from an Android phone? Right now, we have to relay through a Windows PC, which works but is a kludge.

Hardly at all a kludge though, really, is it? :-) It's pretty nifty to be able to do that and then have all the resources of the PC at the same time. Not complaining here. Yes, native support would be nice but then there's all the associated issues that go with that. Security for a start.
Ultimately, it would be nice if they simply created a secure login process to allow any ethernet access to the screen in the first place (http aside). Right now AFAIK, the C-more allows unfettered program uploads – which is a potential risk to machinery applications on any mixed network. Let's fix that, no?

I realize this is an old thread but hopefully by iterating that many people and companies out here still need the VNC function for cross platform integration.
Our compainy switched to weintek CMT series headless HMIs a few years ago because of built in VNC, usb camera, IP camera, push notifications and free VPN service built into the HMIs
With the introduction of the new headless Cmoe EA9-RHMI, I had high hopes that the cmore platform was possibly going to finally have a product we could use to transition back to the cmore. But sadly it falls flat on its face ones agin do to lack needed functions mentioned above.
