I'm using C-More v2.42 connected to DL06 PLC. The Numeric Entry object supports up to three separate fields for tag assignment. Data Entry Tag: This one seems to be the recipient of the data that gets entered into the Numeric Entry control. Data Display Tag: This may be assigned the same as above and will display what gets entered. It could also be assigned to something else and will display whatever that is. This seems useful in situations where what the operator enters is processed and the processed result gets displayed. I get it. Decimal Point Tag: No idea. I can only assume that the value of the tag somehow influences the decimal point position on the displayed data, as if it ties into the Number of Digits: Fractional field on the General tab of the Numeric Entry control setup screen. It would be nice if the nature and format of this field tag assignment field was documented somewhere. For example, 0 = no decimal, 1 = 1 digits, etc. This would be intuitive but who knows? Anyone? Thanks in advance.

I haven't used this but I assume the numeric value of the tag would have the same effect as the "fractional " entry under "number of digits '

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I can "assume " too - which is what I 've done to this point. Just looking for someone who "knows " so I don't have to hunt in the dark.
