I use the C-more with the DL405 series and DL205 series. The setups are the same. PLC, ECOM100, Stride 5 port switch and then plug my notebook into the switch to have programming access to both the PLC and HMI. The machines are NOT connected to the network. If I connect to the DL405 running both DS5.3 and C-More software through ethernet I will get really bad delay times. In that I mean if I push a button on the C-More it takes upto 5 secs to see a response. Also if I make a program change then down load it to the PLC, I will sometimes get an error it did not complete and have to try again. The second download works. If I disconnect the notebook, then the comm times are faster, at least when a button is pushed on the C-More there is an almost instant response. Now, on the DL205 system with the same setup, those things mentioned above do not happen. Response times and downloading to the PLC are just as fast if I was not connected with the notebook. Any ideas? Now I did try to use the peer to peer for the DL405 setup. I used a peer to peer in the ecom100 for the plc to HMI. Did not seem to help. I am a little concerned once the DL405 system is hooked up to the network I will see this delay problem cause there will be more traffic on the network vs. stand-alone. By the way, the DL405 is using a DL450 CPU and the DL205 is using a DL250.
