I'm using a c-more screen and a D0-06 The value in the V memory location in the plc and the numeric display used as a counter are not always the same. They both start at 0 but after that there values change at different rates. And they both reset to 0. Any Help would be great.

Verify that the method of viewing in the PLC (BCD / decimal) matches the type declared for the V memory location in the display.

I don't have the CMore software in front of me. But, assuming you aren't using the same tag in more than one place, you should be able to go to the tag database, select the tag and edit. The 'type ' will be a pull down window. 'BCD Int 16 ' should be in there. Save and re-download.

I go to the Tag name database, highlight tag, then edit. the tag data type is there but can't be changed its, Signed int 16. If i change the V men. to the same the two are the same but not the visional numder i want on the screen is not right

Make sure it's not in use on more than one control.
Another method is to create another key (for example, If you have KEY create KEY1) pointing to the same V memory location but set it to BCD Int 16 when you create it. Use that one in your control. Verify it works. (If you really care about the name then go back, delete the first key, if you can (you shouldn't be able to if it's in use on more than one control), and rename the second key from KEY1 to KEY.)

Creating a new tag is probably the easiest way. Once a tag is used multiple places you can't change the data type.
EDIT: Nicked by Bernie by a minute. :)

Why is it that you can't change the data type of a tag that is used in multiple places? It's kind of a pain.

Checking for data validity in all of the places a tag may be used is incredibly difficult. Not to say that it is impossible, but we just haven't found a way to do it efficiently.

Use the Tag Cross Reference in the Tool menu to find all instances of its use. One of the easiest instances to overlook is when a tag is used to affect the visibility of an object.
