I 've been tinkering with the recipe functions. Is there any benefit over using Call Recipe with the recipe sheets over using just the Recipe function? I 've done some simulation and the recipe sheet is none too attractive on my C-More. Of course, functionality and the ability to make changes without re-inventing the wheel are more important. Any pitfalls to avoid?

Make sure you notice the column and row settings in the Call Recipe Button. This will help you set the recipe sheet appearance so that it is more attractive and useful.
The Recipe sheet is editable if you set it to be. This is one advantage it has over the Recipe Button. It can also be changed via FTP or USB pen drive.
The Recipe sheet allows you to have one button but the ability to choose the recipe to load without having multiple buttons on the screen. The cells can contact static values are PLC tags.
The limitation of the Recipe Button is that the programmer has to set the values. Unless you use PLC Tags and numeric entries to change the values, you are stuck with what ever the developer entered.
