Recording time to complete a job?

Is there a way to create a timer for counting how long it takes to complete a job with the C-more software? For example, when a certain button is pressed on the operator interface, it starts counting until the job is finished, then maybe record the length with a timestamp to a log.

stewak1, by saying "with the C-more software ", you mean you want the "timing " all done in the C-more? If this is true, then yes, you can add toggle switch mapped to a discrete internal tag. Then add an alarm event that is triggered by the toggle switch. Also add an alarm history object. The operator turns on the toggle switch when he starts the job. When the job is completed, the operator turns off the switch. Then you can view the alarm history to determine the date and time the job was started and completed. Is this what you are looking for?
