Can you give us more details?

Are you exporting/importing the L5K file? Or are you exporting importing the C-more tagname database file?

How does PLC stop answering? Do you get timeouts on screen? Errors? Or just no updates?

If you load a simple project with one tag, do you get updates?

    More info please...

gregorian.st, the problem may be that the tag database that you are importing to the C-more is not compatible with the C-more, the tags are not in the correct format. We have used the following method of importing tags into the C-more. Manually enter a few of your tags into the C-more database using the C-more software. The C-more should then be able to update the tags from the PLC. Then export the database from the C-more. Open the database from the C-more and open the database from the PLC using Excel, or whatever program you use to edit. Fill in the cells in the C-more database with the data from the PLC database using copy and paste. Make sure the format in the C-more database conforms to the format for the few tags that you manually entered into the C-more database. Then import this edited C-more database back into the C-more. Try groups of tags at a time. Make sure the PLC tag format matches an acceptable format by the C-more. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for answering. More details:

I'm try export/import C-more tagname database file (.xls) and see errors on panel. Sorry, I can't now describe this error exactly.

I'm performed this operation earlier (with this software, but other protocols) - always ok.

When I'm import file, no device in the list box "CSV/XLS import option " field exists. And only for new protocols in this version! So, I still think it's a bug...

Why i have no answer from developers? This bug still persists in v2.2 of c-more software. And no answer for my inquiry to technical support...

And if you gave as few details to them as you put in this thread, I doubt that they could probably have helped you.

Seriously... You will have to provide a lot more details than that for anyone to help you.

I'm not saying you aren't seeing a bug but I use the import all the time with no issues.

Did you send your import file to them?

I`m sended inquiry directly to tech support - no answer.

Everyone can see this bug. Just create new project and set protocol "ControlLogix/CompactLogix DF1 Full Duplex Tag Based Client ". Add some tags and export tag database. Now, try to import this file and pay attention to

the list box "CSV/XLS import option ". There is no device in this list persists!

You can compare this operation to other protocols.

I did as you said. I created a new Allen Bradley DF1 Full Duplex Tag-Based (Control/CompactLogix) device.

Created a few tags. Exported with the default XLS option. Chose All for Connected Devices Tag Name Database and deselected the With Internal Tags option.

I then went back and chose Import Tag name Database. Chose my file. Selected the -Default- Device option and it imported like a charm.

Are you talking about the fact that the Device choice says -Default- instead of DEV001? Or are you talking about something else not working?

I agree that it is aesthetically incorrect but it is functionally working great (massive time saver).

After this operation project not working (no connection between panel and controller). And NO DEV001 in list says about bug in program.

Tech support don`t want answer to me. May somebody contact to them?

I found where you emailed in to Technical support twice and their answer to you on both questions. They need more information about how to recreate the problem. Your call ticket number is 289292.

If you are not receiving the emails from AutomationDirect.com, you might want to check your SPAM settings for your email client and make sure that AutomationDirect.com is allowed as a safe sender.

Please describe the exact steps to recreate the problem. You can post your .lk5 file here if that helps any.
