I think the C-More panels are great for the money. I am only disappointed with the graphics available and using the animated stuff. I sorta avoid them. I have a question. Has anyone tried to modify a screen on an active panel? I mean like change athe appearance of a screen, lets say, over ethernet, while the panel is being used. Change a button color. Upload it to the panel and the operator is not aware of it until he restarts the panel or re-power ups the machine. I had a vendor come in and demo a panel doing just that and he was able to monitor what screen the operator was on. It used adobe graphics so graphics were easily imported and used. Now of course this panel was more than twice the cost of the same 8 " C-More. Just curious to what extent someone has used the panel. Like I said I wish more could be done to make using the graphics easier to use. I can not always get buttons to look like I want them too, or get the animated graphics to look or work right. Other then ease of use, they are great.

When you upload the project to the panel the operator will be very aware of it because the screen goes black with a message that says "No Program " while you upload the changes. Once changes are uploaded the screen re-initializes as if it had just powered up.

All that said, yes I 've updated a screen or two via Ethernet while the process was still running. Longest distance I 've done to date was from a Hampton Inn lobby in North Carolina for a customer in North Texas via a VPN. I was a bit nervous with that one seeing as I was not in a position to just hop in the car and go fix it if I really screwed it up, but it worked great.
