I'm using a wireless (cellular) modem to connect to my C-More panel and though I can get to http and ftp on the panel I cannot get to programming. I have confirmed that the ports are not blocked and everything is as it should be. Could there be a latency issue? This seems to be the only difference between my wired and unwired internet connections, other than ICMP (ping) is being blocked? Does the c-more timeout after a certain number of milliseconds OR does C-More rely on ping? Thanks, Anil

There are a host of possible problems with this type of setup. Latency, timeout, connection reliability, transmission errors, etc.
It might be that the cellular provider is blocking the ports upstream. Some providers only allow 'common ' ports (80, 21, etc) to be passed though.
The timeout on Cmore is pretty long, but it certainly could be latency due to transmission errors. If there are excessive retry errors, Cmore could timeout.

I cannot get to programming.
Can you explain this a little more? Do you mean that you can get the transfer to start but then it fails? Or can you never get to the point of transferring?
What version are you using?

I have 2 setups with different providers, the problem with both is I can never get the little Red icon to turn Green when I choose Ethernet as the communication method for say "Adjust Clock ", which indicates to me that whatever process C-more uses to confirm the presence of a panel is failing.
If it uses ping then that would be the problem with the first one.
On the second one ICMP is not blocked but it is the same issue but there I can hit the "OK " button a few times even with a Red icon and it will at some point display the time from the panel but when I choose the update this time I get the "error PTC-003: Panel Read Error ".
Using the same method I can change the Display Screen after numerous tries only on the second setup.

I am using C-More Ver.2 Build 07.32 and have updated to corresponding firmware on the panel.
