Tags in two devices?

I have two modbus rtu devices hooked to one C-More panel. If I make two objects and use the same tag address but make them different devices, will the C-More send the data to the correct device? Sorry but I'm new to this.

When you created different Devices, you should have assigned different Station/Node addresses (don't have the software in front of me so I can't remember the exact terminology).
So if you created Tag1 and assigned it to Device 1, Address: 40001 and you created Tag2 and assigned it to Device 2, Address: 40001, then Tag1 would either read or write the value to/from 40001 at Device 1's node address. Tag2 would read or write the value to/from 40001 at Device 2's node address.
