There's an issue with connecting EZTouch panel to Simatic S7-300 CPU 315-2DP via MPI. We use 6ES7972-0CA23-0XA0 as RS-232 to MPI adapter. There's no any communication. Did anyone use such a configuration?

That adapter won't work. That is not a HMI adapter.
You need: 6ES7-972-0CA10-0XA0. I believe that the 6ES7-972-0CA11-0XA0 will also work.

The fact is that those adapters are old and not available now. Now we can buy only PC adapter 6ES7972-0CA23-0XA0.
Is there no way to use it?
Siemens said, it acts as those adapters but with additional functions, such as connections from Step7 to program PLC. But when we connect panel to PLC, "Active " LED is off constanly http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/frown.gif
