C-More Requests

1. In the tag database, there are problems with sorting: Sorting on tagname is case sensitive, for no apparent good reason. It should be made case insensitive. Sorting on Address doesn't handle numbers properly. A sort will result in something like this: V10000 V1003 v205 V3000 v40 This is very annoying when searching for a tag by address number in a long list. 2. Under language options, the default font setup doesn't allow you to set font size, styles (bold, italic, etc.) This is incovenient if you always want to use bold, for example.

    And another thing:

    3. The fonts in C-More are not WYSIWYG. Text can appear one way on the PC and very different on the panel. This is a hassle if you 're trying to make sure your text fits with an object's available space.

I would second these requests. I have a bunch of tags in the V1000's and a bunch in the V10000's, and it would be great to have them sort correctly. It seems my only alternative is to manually edit each tag in the 1000's to be V01234 etc!

I would like to make another suggestion. Would it be difficult to create a new object type, a button with dynamic text? It would be just like a button object, except instead of having fixed text for display, it would get the text from a tag.

This would come in really handy. Currently I am simulating the functionality via a button object, with a dynamic text object layered above it to display the text. But then the only way to display the button-pushed state is to have a third object above the other two, set to be visible when the button is pushed, which is a little complicated!

You may be able to simplify your "custom user object " somewhat. Try setting the "back color " to "no fill " on the Dynamic Text object. Then the color (state) of the button object will show through. You will still need two objects, but maybe you can eliminate the third...

You can also turn off the "frame " on the dynamic text obejct so that only the text is displayed.

This is exactly what I do, but a single object would be cool.

I agree on the tag sorting. It is something we have asked Koyo to take a look at.

On the WYSIWYG, we have only seen this problem when a project was developed on a PC with Display Settings set to something other than 96 DPI, 120 DPI for example or a custom setting. Koyo is also working on this. But setting your PC to 96 DPI should correct it.

I 've seen this problem as well in v1.21.06.18A

It was fixed in a beta release I had at one point so it may be fixed in the latest release... I haven't been able to try out the latest release yet.
