I am trying to use an eztouch panel to display alarms. Alarms have 3 states 1. Normal/Inactive 2. Active and unacknowledged 3. Active and Acknowledged I would like represent these three states by colour of an indicator on the screen (with text on it to identify the alarm description). Green - > 1. Normal/Inactive Red- > 2. Active and unacknowledged Yellow- > 3. Active and Acknowledged I can't find an object to do this with. Multi-state indicator sounds like the right kind of object but I don't think it is... Any idea out there? I would appreciate it.

You could use a multi-state indicator to do this. It would probably be as easy as anything else.

If you only have three states, you can put a static background to indicate your normal state, and an indicator light/dynamic bitmap/etc on top of that, with visibility set by 'alarm on ', and status set by acknowledgement.

Nice solution Terryc, I wish I had thought of it.
