EZTouch memory

Has anyone had problems with new EZTouch panels losing memory after a power cycle? We have shipped about 85 of these to our customers and have had 4 people tell us that they have powered down the panel then reapplied power and had the panel memory erased. We are using the low end model that doesn't have flash memory. Our customers insist that they did not remove the battery when they removed power but we 've never experience that with the panels we use for testing.

I have ran into that problem once. I couldn't understand why it just booted me out. I reloaded the program and it has appeared to work fine since. The Touchscreen was in operation for about a month when it occured. It has been cycled on and off many times for over a year now with no problems.

We are not using these since the battery is the only memory power. Couldn't they have put a SuperCap into the memory power circuit (like the DL-240)? It only takes a fraction of a second with power off of the battery being disconnected (flakey connection, circuit board trace?) to dump memory. We 're using the next higher which takes the flash memory even though the price is higher. I just couldn't chance it.
