I have a program that I 've saved as "Protected " to prevent someone from coming in behind me and sucking the project off the C-More to edit or poke around and see what tags I'm using. I 've opened the protected version using the programming software and it does as expected and opens up the write to panel dialog box immediately. I can write to external memory device and it shows as successful, EA Memory Copy folder is created on my USB stick, all looks good. Plug the USB stick into a panel and it recognizes and allows me to restore the project, but during the reboot after restoring the project I get an error on the panel. Anyone have any advice? I'm trying to send a protected program update to someone in Africa in a format that they can just unzip the folder, stick it on a USB stick, and update their C-More. Its not like I can just run over and load the project via another means given the end user's location...

What error are you getting on the screen? A photo would really help.

Got it figured out. If you compress the EA Memory Copy folder using the Win 7 built-in compression it somehow corrupts the contents. I was compressing then de-compressing and it failed every time with the EA RUN bombing out on the C-More.

Using Mac to compress and decompress doesn't corrupt the contents of the EA Memory Copy folder and doing it that way works well.

    Same thing with EA9.

I used 7ZIP and had no issue.

Looks like a Windows Compression Utility is the culprit.

For the record the Windows decompression utility seems to work fine. Just don't try to compress with Windows...
