P2000 I/O Error Flag

I have a P2000 which has been running for over a year now. Today i was going to monitor hardware faults on a HMI for when the inevitable happens. My problem is that the I/O Error flag is already on and therefore can not be used to indicate any faults. Maybe it is meant to be on when there are no hardware faults?. The error history has nothing showing.

Error_HistoryI have just gone back in and carried out a Read CPU Error History. This has now brought up some faults from 11/04/2020. Clearing them removes the faults from the screen but I can bring them backup by doing a read again.

This is what I found after I double checked for faults. Clearing them removes them from the screen but not from the PLC, as I can pull them backup.

What is PN of the module(s) have the I/O Error flag(s)?

  • CEEPS (Customer)

How do I find that, as I can not see any obvious faults with the PLC.

Maybe include a screenshot of your hardware config. the slot number is already in your first post

that G000B01Sxx is the Group/Base/Slot for each card in your error history.

Is that saying that almost every slot has a fault. The output card has its 24v and only the last two RTD cards have missing probes.Ammonia PLC

I am almost ready to guess that a backplane issue exists.

Can you power it all down, remove and insert all card?

Will try to do that at the weekend. The P2000 is starting to look like a PLC I should not have started using. At the outset it caused me a lot of grief with the software causing the PLC to crash every time you tried to do an update in your program. Now that appears to have been fixed, I am running into hardware issues. I only have 10 of the devices in the factory but this looks like the fourth one to have issues. A brand new one failed after a week, the base was faulty. One had a CPU go faulty and I had to change the base on another one. They do have filters on the mains supply.

We do not use the P2000 any more. Way to many CPU crashes and the exact same problem you are having now. We have been working with ADC support on all the failures but they always say there's nothing wrong???? I have searched these posts to see if anyone else has had these issues, this is the only one I have seen. Good luck.

Which controller are you using instead of the P2000?
