CM5 Version 9.02 missing features.

I recently bought 3 15" CM5 panels for a PC conversion of a boiler control project thinking the EA9 was going obsolete. After fumbling around dealing with the on-line only version of programming manual, I discovered the latest greatest 9.02 wasn't at all great. It's missing features like the PID faceplates, no bar graph target lines were the reason I downgraded to the v8.22 EA9 version of software. I don't understand why a newer version would eliminate such critical features unless the target of this panel is for simple on-off button type projects?

That said, even the v8.22 doesn't have the valuable target line for the bar meter. When (perhaps why) and what is the latest version of C-More was the last that the Target line was removed from the bar meter? Could I downgrade to whatever that version may be with the brand new CM5-T15W I purchased?

I understand about learning new software versions, it even threw me when all the software versions went with the "Ribbon". And they change the names of things, now the the Line Trend Graph is now called a Line Chart. But in this case, the C-more does not have the Bar Graph Target Line, but the C-more Micro does. So even if you could downgrade the C-more firmware to an older version, it would not help in this case, because the older C-more versions do not include the Bar Graph Target Line.

As a work around, if the target lines are fixed, you could simply add a Line Object. If the target value is tag based, you could use a Line Chart instead of the bar, and add the targets to display as lines on the line chart.

Or, what we have done for bar graphs, is add other bar graphs beside the variable bar graph to show the tag-based alarm setpoints. For low alarm setpoints, we used Style1, for high alarm setpoints, we used Style 2. (also the Line Object line length can be tag-based, although harder to scale than the bar graph)

Perhaps the bar graph target lines could be a future addition to the C-more software.
