ElecSparky (Customer) asked a question.
I am having issues with setting PLC RTC from C-more. Seems like it is not always updating. Attached is what I have for code on P1000 and C-More. Is this the proper way to sync? Should be very simple???

I would remove the rung with the debounce and just have the done timer bit going straight to the SET/DATE TIME instruction since it is already a one shot on the enable.

Personally, I use the RTC in the P1K for time management of events and use the tools in PSuite to edit the clock/calendar of the CPU.
When I go to the screen to edit these parameters, I have the current values copied to the HMI tool's tags (RTC.Year, RTC. Month, etc.), and if I change any of those, I have a save pushbutton popup on the screen to allow saving the changes.
I know this has worked well, as the equipment I build has equipment that must be heated for 1 hour before a shift starts. The only time this method failed me was due to a dead battery in the P1K. We shipped a new battery gratis, and after replacement, the customer was able to reset the clock and calendar from the C-more, and the equipment went back to operating normally.

Thanks for that. Sounds like a solid way to do this. Will give it a whirl. Does the P1K RTC hold time really well? In say like 6 months would it be out a bit?

From the Product insert of the P1-540. The P1-550 and P1-622 are the same (other than text formatting of the P1-550 insert)
