How to set IP Address by Software in a Click C2-03CPU

The Click Set up Software has a Check Box to allow the IP Address to be Set from Software. I find Nothing that allow me to actually set the Requested IP Address I want to Change to..

SD200-203 is a read only Location that says what the IP Address is ( WiFi ), and SD80-83 is the IP Address for Wired LAN, again read only.

Presently I have a Click that will be on One of Two Lans.. Different Sub Net Numbers.. My thoughts are to have the CPU wake up with a Fixed IP Address, and try to connect to Wireless ( the Lan I'll be using Presently ) and wait about 10 seconds for a Connect Conformation by SC84 going Hi. if it is unable to connect on the First Wlan, then Switch to the Back up Wlan, and try that IP Address..

The Wlans have the Same SSID and Passwords, but they are Separated by a few miles in Distance.

If I cant figure out how to switch IP Address, then I can have the Click E-mail me with it's DHCP connected IP Address, but that gets really weird.

I'm wanting this thing to actually dump it's information to a C-More Screen that will have a Fixed IP Address. But the C-More needs to 'Read' the Click, rather than the Click 'Dumping' to a Screen Known Location.. Unless you can give me some inside information on how to do that?..

Thanks..

This is the Only thing I have found..

" Enable IP Address to be changed from software: If selected, then the IP Address can be changed with the programming software Browse and Link Edit tools. "

Right, if "Enable IP Address to be changed from Software" is checked, then, using the Click Programming Software, when you go to connect (PLC > Connect...), and select the Ethernet port, you are able to change (Edit...) the IP Address in the PLC. If not checked, and you try to change the IP Address, you will get a PTC-017 error box: Port IP Address changes are disabled....

I know, probably not helpful to you now, but the BRX PLC can change its IP address on-the-fly, thru ladder logic.

    Discussing with my IT guy..

I set the PLC to be DHCP.. It will connect to WIFI with the Credentials that will allow connection to either Sub Net Access Point..

The DHCP will query the PLC for MAC Address.. then upon finding the Authorized MAC Address, it will assign the IP Address depending on which Sub net it logged on to..

The Problem with the C-More is not too dramatic.. It will be looking for Data from TWO known IP Addresses.. and just Error ( Banner on the Screen ) when it only sees one.. The Data it Receives will still be Valid, and the Screen Manager will have Rules to determine which to use..

Still like to be able to assign IP Via Software..

Congrats! The more online/remote stuff we get, and the more firewalls/ security/ authentication they install, the more we need the "IT guys"!
