Productivity ver 4.6.0.37 Task Library not able to create task
Like question says. I am using 4.6.0.37 and it appears that the task library will not actually create a task. I have attempted to create a task in any of the options (first scan, every scan, etc.) and nothing works.
-Create task... does nothing
-Copy task library task and paste into normal task, does nothing.
-Copy from another project (lines of ladder, or whole tasks) and paste into current project does nothing.
-I can copy and paste ladder lines in the same project and copy and paste tasks in the active tasks (not task library) within the same project but that is it.
Any help?
I went ahead and tested all the options you mentioned and everything worked as expected on my end. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue in versions 4.6.0.37 or 4.6.1.7.
When you get a chance, could you generate a system report? Feel free to PM it directly to me. I'd like to try reproducing the issue on our end and dig into any log files that might give us some clues as to what's going on.
How to create a system report is explained at this link if needed.
@g.mccormick (Customer) Thanks for sending me your project! Unfortunately, using your project I am unable to reproduce your issue. Can you PM and export one or more of your Task Library groups so I can try and duplicate? Thanks!
@g.mccormick (Customer) Thanks for sending over that export — really appreciate your patience while we dig into this!
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end using the methods you mentioned:
• Creating a task directly
• Copying a task library task and pasting it into a normal task
• Copying from another project (lines of ladder or whole tasks) and pasting into the current one
All three worked fine for me, so this may be something specific to your setup or data. I've gone ahead and sent your system report and the export over to our development team so they can take a closer look at the error logs and identify what might be causing it.
We'll keep you posted as soon as we have more info — thanks again for taking the time to report this!
Thank you for sending it on.
As a last ditch effort, I did the following:
So I am sure it is something weird with my system, but it also seems to be something in that original project that had started life as a 4.5 version project.
Regardless, let me know if anything every comes of it, for now I have to move on.
Thanks!
