I love the New Feature on the New Beta on the CM5
Here are a couple Suggestions
1) Would it be Possible to use the CM5 to Play Videos and have a feature that could allow us to add at least short videos for installation values..
2) What about adding PDF Files like Service Manuals or a feature where they could be on a SD Card or USB Stick or Edit the Local Server to Insert Files like PDFs or JPEG Images this would be a real Handy Feature.
3) Another nice feature would be make so that we can add Email addresses and assign a Date and Time for like alarms to trigger from the HMI once its in Production right from the screen with tags..so that we don't need to edit the software ..
4) A drop Down List similar to Recipes so you can pick a tag and also be able to pick a tag to assign different values..

1) This is a common request. The biggest issue is memory and project size. One approach I like is to use the QR code object with a link to a Video online. Use your mobile device to scan the QR code on the panel and watch the video on the mobile device.
2) Another common request. PDFs viewing is on our roadmap. JPGs and PNGs can be used in the Image Object.
3) I am not understanding this one. You can currently use tags for email addresses which would allow you to enter the address on the screen. I am not sure how this ties into "and assign a Date and Time for like alarms to trigger from the HMI once its in Production right from the screen with tags"
4) Can you reference someone that is doing this so we can look at it?

Question 3) the email address... for example.. i would add someone to an alarm system from the HMI so he starts receiving email when an alarm triggers .. can i make a tag where i can enter a email and assign certain tags so he receives alarms when those certain tags have triggered..
4) a Drop Down List Like Right Mouse click and than you can open a Small Window page to do Certain folders...im trying to look for an example
Another something that id like to see a change on is, in Message Display when entering characters you can only add 500 Characters id like to see that at unlimited ... i use it to read motor speed, RPM, Amps and so much more but i always run out of space .. i will attach a photo below.. also make it so you can take out the backg
round and make it a no Fill background..

Could you use the multiple trigger selection in the Event Manager?
Is everything at the top of that screenshot a single message. That's cool!
It looks like the limit is 200 characters.😣
I am not sure why there is a limit. We can check.
A possible work around. The Prefix and Suffix in embedded tags do not count toward the character count even though the embedded tag itself does. The limit, only 8 characters on Suffix or Prefix.
The background can be made transparent in V9.
