Remove the old configuration

I am do-more designer and simulator. I am running the same program on 2 different computers. The programs were working fine on both the computer.

But suddenly, it stopped working on one the computer last week onwards. The same program is still working on the other computer.

In the non-working computer, the simulator is not connecting to the PLC.

I have tried clearing the PLC memory and write PLC memory again. But here too I land up in problems. These sequence of screenshot explains it:

Screenshot 2026-02-07 200344Screenshot 2026-02-07 200357Screenshot 2026-02-07 200412'Transport Protocol error', which I am unable to debug.

After several days of troubleshooting, I performed a complete reinstallation of the software. However, the issue persists. Following reinstallation, the application automatically restores the same folders, files, and state from the previous installation, indicating that residual configuration data is being retained. It appears that the uninstall process does not remove one or more hidden configuration or state files. I tried many reinstalls with the same result.

The issue seems to have originated after I accepted a prompt from the software to open a communication channel or port. Since then, the application has remained in this state. I am unable to retrace the exact action, and there is no option in the menu bar or settings to view, set, or reset the communication port. As a result, I have no way to revert the application to a clean or default configuration.

Please help me

  1. In locating the configuration files of the install in windows environment.
  2. debuging the transport protocol error.
  3. Clean state install.

It appears the Simulator was closed. Is it running?

Yes, simulator is running. But the principal help i am seeking is how to have a clean install, where in all the files, including previous installation configuration files are deleted.

So you can see the simulator running on your PC. The screen shot you had appeared to show that the simulator was not running (something closed it) and you started getting timeouts.

Open the project you are having issues with and look at the Link configuration for your project.

    After opening the project, do

    PLC->Link Info

    Hit the Edit Link button

    Hit the Port tab

Do a screen shot of that and post it here.
